Insanely good indoor S'mores

Who said you can't have s'mores indoors? I checked out Fabulesslyfrugal.com where I found cool, inexpensive recipes. It's never too late to make a s'more. I've included the recipe below.

Indoor Smores


Ingredients
1 Package of Graham Crackers (18 Squares)
2 Bars of Chocolate 1.55 oz
18 large marshmallows


Instructions

1. 1. Lay down foil or a silpat or a baking sheet.
2. 2. Put 9 graham cracker squares on the cookie sheet.
3. 3. Cover 6 crackers with 3 squares of chocolate and 3 crackers with 2 squares of chocolate.
4. 4. Stand the flat side 2 marshmallows on each of the squares of chocolate.
5. 5. Heat broiler to low.
6. 6. Place oven rack just below the broiler and put the cookie sheet under the broiler. Watch the
marshmallows very carefully. It does not take long for the chocolate to melt and marshmallows to
brown.
7. 7. Remove from heat and cover with graham crackers

Purse cake by mommybakesnj

I honestly thought making the purse cake was going to be a huge challenge but after taking my time I was able to complete it. I used the tutorial on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9sIw-Db--I) to help guide me through the decor of the cake. Although at the time I did not have the proper tools I improvised and used different means to make the cake. For example for the stitching of the cake I did not have the stencil to make the correct thread marks so I used a knife (hence why the lines are not as straight). For the next time I make the purse cake I now have all the proper tools ;)

I made myself 2 cakes I mean you only turn"30"once. The second cake I made was a bridge leaving my 20's and going into the  30s.

Still trying to figure out what to do for my upcoming bday. Any ideas please comment below ;)

Target is having some amazing sales both online and in stores. I made two outfits below for him and her. So many choices and to narrow it down just to two outfits was just not easy.

I love how nice this floral dress pairs with the cowgirl boots and how insane is that you can now get a crown as a headband? It's like every little girls dream ;) The faux fur vest just gives it a more polished finish. The overall look is charming and fashionable.

I had to pick this graphic tee I just envisioned my son with it. Too cute "Try to stop Me" tee as he runs away. I would pair the tee with the checkered shirt over it either half buttoned up or not buttoned at all. I like how dark denim looks great whether its skinny or loose fitted. The sneakers add that cool flair to the entire outfit.

I wanted to make camo look a step up than the usual casual look so I went with a more crisp look. The red V- neck sweater looks great with this light blue buttoned up boys shirt. You can choose to pair the two together or wear it separate for a variation.  The sneakers work great because it adds a bit of  edge and urbanity.

Toy Story Themed Birthday

My baby girl had turned 2 and of course I had to do a themed party. At the time she was obsessed with Toy Story. I got most of my ideas online and from the movie.This is where I started to take a bigger interest in baking. Although I did not bake the birthday cake I helped with the decoration. As for the cupcakes it was made by yours truly MommyBakesNJ.

The cake was easy to decorate just had lettering done as seen on "Toy Story" and added the figurines (purchased at Disney Store).


I made the martian cupcakes with M&M, sour stick soft candy, chocolate chips, sour apple rolled belt and butter cream icing. As for the little pig cupcakes I used regular sized marshmallow cut in half, mini chocolate chips and pink wafers.

For decor I purchased a Toy Story party kit (I don't have the website I used as it was years ago before the blog ) . I used toddler table and chairs since after all the party is about the kids.

I had little activities setup for the kids such as face painting...

and of course the END with the birthday cake ;). The party preparation was very inexpensive since most of the items were DIY and I had the party at home.

Make a difference this Labor Day by visiting Horseshoe Lake Park in Roxbury, NJ. There will be live music and great entertainment. Cost of admission is a simple donation of 64 ounce canned good. Back to school outfits H&M

HER:

H&M has a great selection of clothes to choose from. I know that I'll find a trendy outfit every time I visit the store. Online you usually don't find as great as a deal as in stores. Once in awhile though you'll get the email alert about their major sales.

Getting back to the outfits. I'm obsessed with dresses and these two picks I think are great because you can dress down for school with these adorable rose gold wedges. Add a little accessory with color to make the outfit really stand out.

You can still wear shorts in the fall and winter....with tights of course! This sweater is amazing, not just because it's polka dots but the texture of the knit sweater is great! You can choose to wear it with boots or shoes that fits your style but I honestly think these hot pink boots pair nicely with the outfit.

HIM:

I love layering boys outfits rather than the normal plain tee and shorts. By adding the khaki blazer I think it brings the outfit together.

I purchased a similar top for my husband and now that I see H&M has it for kids I'll be sure to add it to my son's little collection of clothes. I choose the two pants to provide variation but I think either selection works well.

Kids in overalls is just meant to be. I love the top with the matching bow tie it just makes the outfit.
